On September 23, 2017 it was announced that Maria Perry, nominated by Coach Katherine Farrell, was the recipient of the 2017 John Izzard Athleticism, Service, and Achievement Award. This announcement was made during the Undine Barge Club Captain's Dinner at Castle Ringstetten. Below are several photographs from that evening. Maria will receive her personal trophy at the Schuylkill Navy Annual Awards Banquet in 2018.
